I have a web page which refreshes every after 3 seconds. How can I test in TP whether the page was refreshed after 2 seconds or not?
I gave a couple of tries with Events & Checks, but nothing worked for me.
When the page refreshes is it loading the exact same page or is it a redirection to another page?
If it is a redirection you can loop until the new page exists and mark the time, but if it is simply refreshing the existing page nothing in the page is changing. Can you try something like putting the last refresh time into the caption of the page so you can compare against that?
Thanks for your replies.
The page is set to refresh automatically every after 3 seconds. It refreshes to the same page and hence the URL etc doesn't change from the page.
This is to show the updated/real-time data on the page whenever it refreshes. But if there is no new data, then the data/content of the page remains the same on refresh.
I'm assuming your trying to test an internal page and not something external (that your program would interact with) so is it possible to add a automation hook like this into the page? If you can't change the page and it refreshes to the exact same page every time, I'm not sure there is any way to tell if it is different.
