Toolbar item/menu item - Wait until it is disabled
I have a .Net app with an Apply Changes menu item (also found on the tool bar). When I use it, I need to wait until it becomes disabled (it becomes disabled when the changes are fully applied). Note that I'm using TP 5.2. I tried a couple of things:
- Menu event. Does not work because it wait until the menu item is available. I'm looking for the opposite.
- I can get the names of the tool bar buttons through a loop of DotNetToolBar.GetItem(x), but it doesn't tell whether the button is enabled/disabled.
- TP can't get anything under DotNetToolBar.Items. This is a shame, because I could have used DotNetToolBar.Item(x).Enabled.
Does anyone has any other idea of what I can do ??
Re: Toolbar item/menu item - Wait until it is disabled
While your best bet would be to upgrade to 5.3.0 as it now supports third party .NET controls and you should be able to get to properties that were not previously possible, you could use a bitmap event on the disabled button to wait until it appears in 5.2.
