Waiting for a web page to load a hyperlinked image
I`m looking for an efficient way of waiting for a web page to load before continuing with my script (I`ll be using IE). I need to ensure that an ‘arrow-like’ hyperlink object is visible so I can click it.
My initial thoughts is to …
1. Firstly wait until I see the ’Done’ message in the status bar (normally all graphical elements have loaded when this message appears … but obviously this isn’t always the case). I would like this check to be repeated every x number of seconds, what do people recommend for this, check every 2/3 seconds ... when the web site is very busy the web page in question can take up to 5 minutes to load !!!
2. Then do an object exist check before clicking on the arrow hyperlink ... you never know, I may run the script one day and find the arrow hyperlink has disappeared from the web page !!! In the case the arrow is missing I would have to end the TestPartner script.
