errors when running multiple test scripts
If I run my scripts individually they all complete successfully, but if I run one right after the other some of the basic windows functions occasionally fail. For instance, we frequently access folders on the desktop. Usually the code to open the desktop folder executes w/o issue. Sometimes though, the folder doesn't open and then there is an attach error. I can of course repeat the call to open the folder again if it doesn't open, but I am wondering why this may be happening. As a side note occasionally it seems as if the folder is visible but not responding, but again I am not quite sure how to narrow this down. Has anyone else had test cases fail when run in a batch but pass individually? TIA.
P.S - it is the same machine, same build under test, w/ nothing else running.
Re: errors when running multiple test scripts
Have you tried pausing between calling scripts from the main driver script? If this fixes the problem then what is probably happening is windows etc. used by the previous script are interfering with the new, even if they appear to be closed.
I had a similar problem navigating between pages in a web browser and needed to create function that does the following
Function screen (screenTitle as string) as boolean
On Error GoTo HasTimedOut
Call UserCheck("Found page:" & screenTitle,True)
screen = True
Call UserCheck("Found page:" & screenTitle,False)
screen = False
