HTMLTextArea - retrieving full contents
Any suggestions for (easily?) retrieving the contents of an entire HTMLTextArea object? The CaptureText method will grab what is visibly on-screen, but won't pick up anything beyond that. I could use SelectAll and Copy to put everything into the clipboard. Is there a nice way to dump that to a String, or output the text to a file? I wanted to avoid trying to manipulate the scrollbar on the object, and getting the data line by line.
Re: HTMLTextArea - retrieving full contents
Use the Text property, this will give you the whole contents, visible or not.
Try the following code, change the attachname ("Application=IEXPLORE.EXE Name=S2") to point to your textarea.
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">Dim hta As THTMLTextArea
Set hta = HTMLTextArea("Application=IEXPLORE.EXE Name=S2"
MsgBox hta.Text</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">//*EggBox
