Using check to log errors on non-GUI testing (engine test).
Checks seems to need a display to be used. I have to test an engine and no GUI is available. Is there a way to use checks (or any other way) to have errors logged automaticaly directly in the code ?
I'd like to have errors logged in the same log file used by TestPartner...
I use tables of data (Excel sheet) to make comparison.
Re: Using check to log errors on non-GUI testing (engine test).
I believe what you are looking for is the UserCheck call...
The following line will send a failed check to the log:
UserCheck "mycheck", False, "this is my comment"
The Intelle-sense will walk you through the parameters. Just remember to show the Column 'Command Details' to see the comment(or variables) you are sending. (Right click on the Heading of the Log to customize the header)
Hope this helps,
