I need to know how Tools->References works. My AUT has some custom dll and ocx that I need to referenced for my script to work. Note that these dll and ocx are registered.
The question is, if someone else wants to run my script, but his dll and ocx are not at the same place (like, installation done on the d-drive instead of the c-drive), will Test Partner be able to find the references or not ??
that is a good question. i will find out, i work with testpartner at compuware so i will ask around
the answer i got back was the following:
If the end user tries to execute the scripts and they don't work due to an inability to find the References, I would expect that you'll need to provide your user with information about the References used for each script and he/she will need to re-reference them in each script independently if his DLLs/OCXs aren't in the same location.
if you have further questions on this, please enter your question in our Frontline Technical support, and someone in Testpartner can contact you directly
