I'm looking for a way to change checks in code. For example, I want to be able to run my tests on various servers, so I would need to change all the urls in my code and the check properties from http://oldservername/... to http://newservename/... I need to do this without manually changing all the checks and my testScript code (where the urls are hard coded). I was thinking something along the lines of submitting the servername as a parameter before running my script.
I'd suggest a global variable (something stored in a shared module) that identifies your test region. Then you can reference that variable in all your scripts, and you only have to change the variable once to affect everything.
Thanks, I have already implemented a global variable and that works well.
However, I am trying to modify individual checks. So, if I have a property check which checks a specific web page, I want to be able to modify any existing properties that collect the url to my new servername.
I'm having issues finding a way to change these, and a way to automate this process through a script (I've been working with TestPartner as a reference)
