Testpartner to QTP Migration worth it?
Hi, as some of you may be aware, i've been working on Testpartner for well over a year now. we follow a framework approach of automation, and we have maintained a class library for every element which occurs in our Web UI. (we use BSP pages). Testpartner/VBA has been really useful for us to develop these libraries since the HTML elements can be easily retrieved etc...
Now, we are contemplating a shift to QTP because of TP's lack of support towards handling Flex objects and then some. What I'd like to know is, since migration of the library to QTP from TP is a major overhaul considering QTP uses VBScript, how beneficial is it to migrate to QTP?
Please give me your honest opinion. If you feel that this isn't the right forum to discuss this, please send me a PM.
But please remember, we are not Record/Replay people. We will be creating a complete framework. So coding wise, what is advisable.
as far as i'm concerned, VBA gives me more coding freedom than VBScript... This is a huge disadvantage I see with QTP. I'd like to know the advantages of QTP too.
