I'm currently using TP 6.1 build 252 and I'm having a problem capturing the name property of a javaeditbox control in an oracle forms environment. I'm aware that I could use alternative means to identify the control but none of these are great.
The reason why I'm asking is because when I run my script against 1 environment, I can capture the name property. When I run it against another environment, the name property is blank in the identify window.
Is this an Oracle Forms compilation option? I can't imagine the form doesn't actually have a name property in one environment but has one in another...
Re: How to capture name property on Oracle forms Java
I am not completely sure how you are getting a name property from a javaeditbox. Mine are all referred to by index numbers. If you have a way for the programmers to assign names to the javaeditboxes in your application I would sure appreciate some of that knowledge!!!
Meanwhile, I know some tips and tricks now about working with TP in Oracle and accessing these objects so if you can be very specific about what you are trying to do, I may know a good way to do it.
