    wait comand

    Hello

I am testing a web application. In the application I am testing to see that after 15 min. the application redirects to the login page. also after 13 min a popup window warning that the user will be redirected comes up. Should I be using the wait command to tell test partner to wait this long before seeing if the window comes up. I know that the wait is in seconds and not minuets.

    thank you.

    Re: wait comand

Are you asking us if you should test this function in your application or if there is a better method to test it than the Wait command?

If you are trying to test this function, then the Wait command seems like it would work.

Is the Wait command not functioning properly? If so this is something you would need to contact CompuWare support about. Many people have previously posted problems with the Wait command. You may want to browse some of the older posts and see if someone found a solution that fits your needs.

    Re: wait comand

    Hi Raj,

    Answer of your question.

1)Yes we can , select run from cursor option , it will display a code explorer(Script) and then drag pointer to the line from where you wants to run your script and press F5 or click on RUN icon.

2.We can do DP in TP, you have to identify the objects on the screen and perform the action towards the object like this, suppose you have html button in your page identify it and code like this,

lets button have a value = "Click" and type = "Button"

    Dim myButton as new THTMLButton
    set myButton = HTMLButton("Value=Click type=Button")
    myButton.Click

see Here i am using multiple property for identifying an object.

3.About exception handling ; if you are going for descriptive programming then you can use LABELS for that like this:

    On Error GoTO lblError

    some code

    lblError:

    if Err.Number > 0 then
    usercheck "Exception",False,"Exception occurs"
    end if

You have any query regarding this please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Vivek
