    dynamic HTML Anchor

    Hello,

    I am testing a web application. When a user enters a word and a number then clicks on a enter button the user will be directed to a page that has a new link with the same word and number combination that the user had just entered. now that link must be clicked to go to that page. I was wondering how testPartner can be directed to chose this link?

    Re: dynamic HTML Anchor

    I also faced the same issue long back. Instead of using the caption try to use the ID of HTMl anchor e.g HTMLAnchor("ID=itemTextLink3").Click. It will remain constant whatever the name and number will displayed in HTML anchor

    Re: dynamic HTML Anchor

    Try this:

    Dim txt, attName as String
    txt = "my word 12345" ' this is the word and the number entered
    attName = "Caption = '*" + txt + "'*"
    HTMLAnchor(attName).Click

    Re: dynamic HTML Anchor

    From VB Help:

    ' Multiple declarations on a single line. AnotherVar is of type Variant because its type is omitted.
    Dim AnotherVar, Choice As Boolean, BirthDate As Date

    Dim txt as String, attName as String

    I know, I know, it's picky !
