Is TP 6.1 compatible with SQL Server 2008? Is there a recommended method to uninstall the SQL Server 2005 components that are installed with TP so I can install SQL Server 2008? The Express edition cannot be upgraded directly.

Are there plans to support it? Probably. Could you get TP working with it? Maybe.
I'd contact TestPartner support for their word on the subject.
I was able to get SQL 2008 installed on a Vista machine also running TP 6.1 by not installing the SQL Express tools that are part of the TP 6.1 installation. I'm able to access my TP and QADirector databases, which are hosted on a SQL2005 machine. However, I think something happened to an ODBC driver in the process, because TP crashes whenever I try to vew results at the end of a run and they aren't showing up on the results pane in the object finder.
Still working on a solution. If anyone has any further suggestions, please feel free to chime in.
I am facing the same issue in our setup, where I have SQL 2008 for some other testing purpose. Since I cannot remove 2008, it is not possible to view the results and crashing TP every time I try to do so.
Is there anyway we can make a different SQL 2005 setup from another machine to work with TP?
If you have SQL 2008 installed and TP crashes when opening a result you should contact technical support as this issue was resolved in a previous patch. The problem is caused by a change in an MFC dll that is installed by SQL server 2008.
