Arrays/ Records/ Objects/ Help!
I am trying to record several sets of relevant data, though am struggling with one-dimensional arrays.
I need to record an indexing name, along with further details to with that particular item.
I saw drazle's offering from Sept 2004:
For i = 1 To 10
For j = 1 To 10
array[i,j] = i + j
Array size is dynamic and does not have to be declared...
However, would this work in my scenario?
Is it possible to store 'records' in this way?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Arrays/ Records/ Objects/ Help!
Yes, it should work - dpends on the volume and complexity of what you want to store and of course provided the data for record n is stored against "Var[n]" in each array.
However, I suggest you look into storing the records in a database (I've used Access for this) and using QARun to read/write from this database at run time.
This has the advantage that if it is test data/test records you wnat to store you can change this data indepently of the QARun scripts.
You may find this more appropriate depending on what you're trying to achieve
