crashes ..? What could be the reason ?
While automation we have followed shell scripting and different scripts are formed for different screens. Now when one script finishes playback by closing that screen and starts with the next script, AN IE BROWSER CRASH appears and prompts user whether he wants to send this error or not.
I have noticed that if the same steps ar followed manually then, IE does not crash. but as soon as the script is run it happens usually in Search windows and on Close of screens.
IE 6.0 and QA Run 1745 are being used. I tried using event / error handling but everytime this happens there is a different position the screen crashes and i need to open the screen back at that position before i can continue.
Could Memory Usage be a reason for this??
256 MB Ram is used in our systems.
I really need some help at this point. Can some one give some solution.
What could be the reason and how to handle it??
Re: crashes ..? What could be the reason ?
I don't know what you mean by QARun 1745. My version numbers go something like "Version 4.9.0 (GA Build 181)"
What version of windows are you running? What service pack? Windows XP with SP2 has issues unless you have installed a QARun patch that is available.
256 MB Ram seems awfully light nowadays. How big is your hard drive and how much space do you have? If you are running out of virtual memory, it could be one cause.
