Question: QARUN and Testpartner
I have been told (by a collegue) that QARun is to be replaced by Testpartner.
Is this the case or is Testpartner mearly a better way of testing .Net and Java?
Thanks in advance.
Re: Question: QARUN and Testpartner
A compuware consultant told me that Testpartner should one day support all environments and techniques that QARun supports. You can even run scripts developed in QARun with Testpartner. They will support QARun, but will not make any changes on it. So Testpartner will be their future tool for functional testing.
You should evaluate which tool works better with the application that you want to test. I made the experience that Testpartner works much better with our Java application than QARun. On the other hand QARun is much better if you want to test applications which were build with oracle forms. In our case Testpartner did not recognize some objects.
