Mimicking object map "autocreate" from a script.
I'm looking for a way of performing an "autocreate" on the object map for the screen in question, but from a script instead of from within the QARun application.
Any ideas appreciated...
Re: Mimicking object map "autocreate" from a script.
You may be able to get it to work but it will probably take some tweaking of your script. In the registry under HKEY_Current_User/Software/Compuware/QARun/Learn there should be a DWORD entry titled learnself. Change this value to 1 and then in QARun deselect minimize on learn. You should then be able to record a script that opens the object map and uses the autocreate functionallity to add object map entries for your application. When you want to replay the script, you will need to deselect minimize on replay. One thing you may want to keep in mind is that you will probably not want to have QARun maximized when doing this as you will have a hard time doing the identify with the autocreate. This is an old option that QARun used to offer, but still may work.
