Poking Application Window
My application has a user activity lockout function which after a specified number of minutes will prompt the user to reenter their password.
To trigger this relogin screen, i first need to attempt to connect to the main window of the application and if the timeout is breached the relogin screen is presented..
My problem is this..
When i try to connect to the main window using Attach or AppActivate the relogin screen is presented but the scripts hangs about waiting for the main window to present itself..
So is there a way to activate a window but not expect to attach to it??
Thanks in advance!
Re: Poking Application Window
If there isn't then you could call an error handling routine just before the Attach or AppActivate command - ResumeNextOnError - in this function, just have Resume Next which will simply cause script execution to continue on the next line of code.
Remember to cancel the additional error handling with On Error End after this part of the script.
To save waiting for the Attach statement to timeout you could also set Replay.AttachTimeout = 5 then re-set it back to the usual after the code has executed.
Hope this helps...
