    QARun - Capturing field names

    Hello.
In my app, the screen names and field names change at the developers whim. is there any function i can call that can determine the name of the field, and whether it is a text entry field, radio button, etc? I know by recording it, i can get this information; is there a way to pipe the information to a table so i can see what variables i have?
    Thanks in advance.

Re: QARun - Capturing field names

    Hi System...

I think both ways you mentioned are possible and quite equal in terms of complexity. While parsing the HTML file would be more stable and trustable it is more programming and less testing.
The Methodes you can use to retrieve Information in your first approach can be found in QARun Language Help searching:

    1. ControlFind( )
    To get the handle

    2.Window Information
To retrieve the Information you desire.

    Add 1:
    Use for Example
ButtonFind("!~2") to get the handle of the second Button

    Add 2:
    Use
    CtrlLabel(handle)
    to retrieve the label...

    Hope this helps..
