Excel Spread Sheet as Output Results File
I have a customer who would like to have their output from their scripts placed into Excel spread sheets. The difficulty is that each test requires a different format in the Excel spread sheets.
I don't want to have to manually generate the spread sheets each time the customer wants this test run so I am going to set it up so that QARun reconfigures the Rows and Columns as necessary for each script output. I know that I can just go into Excel and learn resizing columns, rows, set formatting...but is there an easier way?
Any pointers before I get started? I have seen some posts on people using DDE commands with Excel, has it worked OK? Benefits / Drawbacks?
Re: Excel Spread Sheet as Output Results File
I have used DDE commands for retrieving from and sending data to Excel spreadsheets, but I don't think you can use these commands for Excel formatting.
Someone might prove me wrong though...
