Checks Failing suddently with New Release
Our system released a new set of souce onto our workstations and now our version of QARun 4.8 is not working with bitmap checks...the entire test tool freezes when it has to use one.
Has anyone encountered this problem, and what was the method you used to resolve it?
I will be going through the source to compare dlls and such, but it would be great if someone knows the specific culprit already.
Re: Checks Failing suddently with New Release
I have seen this happen on one machine, but it was rebuilt before the problem could be diagnosed.
This is just a theory but QARun's checks.dll has a dependency on gdi32.dll. You may want to check the versions of these two to see if they have changed. If the gdi32.dll version changed, then there may be an invalid entry point that the checks.dll is trying to use. Sorry I could not be more helpful.
The reason I think this may be causing the problem is that QARun will ask the application to refresh itself and this should occur within gdi32.
