We are managing a large QARun DB (more than 10,000 scripts) and we need to be able to do some manipulations on the _entire_ script DB (search, replace, ...).
Up to now, the only way is to
- export all script DB using awl file format (it's a pain because you cannot export more than 256 scripts at the same time, so we have to do it 40 times!)
- do the manipulation
- import it all back (a pain again)
Mainly because QARun lacks _full DB_ search and replace feature in the editor.
I am aware of XReference tool (posted by QAToolBoy, thanks!) which allows things like that but you need to export the scripts before.
Instead, I would like to do it natively on the DB:
- Look into the DB and access the script source in plain text
- Do some manipulations
- Create a new version of the script with the modifications
Looking into Access, the source script file in "QR_SCRIPT_SOURCE" table is of type "long binary data".
