Using KEA! 340 and QA Run
Does anybody have experience of using QA Run with KEA 340?
More specifically with character mode Oracle Forms 4.5?
We appear to be experiencing problems with (what appears to be) trailing space on the end of lines where no further characters appear beyond these. The trailing space appears sometimes and not others when using test checks. This is turn causes checks to fail .
In trying to solve the problem it would be useful to understand something about how QARun captures the screen for test checks. Is it doing some form of OCR or scraping the screen using the clipboard, or something else?

I had something similar in QARun 4.8.0 with Windows XP. This appears to have been resolved in 4.8.1 - perhaps it has been fixed for you in the new version as a knock-on effect?
Can you test to see if a trailing space exists and if so remove it?
I found that grabbing text in WindowsXP would sometimes double the text, for eg:

I would look for the mid-point and check if the second half was the same as the first and if so strip it. That way it coped with situations where there was no duplication, eg:
