Recently, I got the idea to launch my QARun test scripts at the end of the script that builds the software that my test scripts are testing. It made me wonder if anyone else already does this or if anyone has a better way of scheduling the running of QARun test scripts.
Does anyone have QARun test scripts setup to automatically run after the software they are testing has been successfully built?
Does anyone have QARun scheduled to automatically run at certain times or after certain events?
What has been the most productive / successful method for running QARun test scripts?
We don't get to build our AUTs. Developers build, give us the drop, and we run our scripts.
First we run the smoke test script, and if it passes then we continue with Verify GUI, Functionaliy, Load, Performance, scripts in that order. We usually are constantly running automation on several machines at the same time. This covers all windows clients and their huge array of connections to different server DB environments...all Unix/Windows servers with all Oracle versions(7.3.4 to 9iv2).
