Problem recording clicks on some command buttons
I've run into a challenging problem. I am trying to teach a team of approx. 30 analysts how to record test cases. Problem is, QARun is failing to "learn" certain command buttons.
The command buttons in question always invoke an unload of the attached window by design. QARun captures this event like this:
Attach "~PH~SMART.EXE~Static~Household Summary"
The command fails to play back, and I would rather the event be captured as a button click in any case.
If I right click the same button, the click is recognized as I expect it to be, like this:
Attach "Household Summary"
Button "Return to &Start", 'Right SingleClick'
Since the right click doesn't invoke an event with the button, it seems immune from this issue. Only the buttons that cause a window to unload from memory have this issue--but it is really putting a damper on training, and my students are losing confidence that they can record and playback test cases with minimal editing.
Oddly enough, if I tab over to these buttons and press enter, the issue doesn't come into play. Leads me to believe it may have something to do with the way QARun is hooking the mouse events during learning. I've tried playing with those settings as well, to no avail. Any ideas?
Thanks and Regards...

The joys of record and playback.... If you are finding that it works using the keyboard, I'd go with that if replying on the recorder is absolutely needed.
