    Check Highlighted text

Challenge for QA Run Testers !!

Look at my problem below !!

Its a java application, and i need to find, when i say Ctrl+F, i will get a Find dialog and need to give text and click on find.when doing so, the text will be highlighted in gray with the Find dialog displayed and has a focus.

When you shift a focus from find dialog to the window where the text is highlighted, the entire line will be blocked. so i could not check the highlighted text.

Hope you clearly understand the problem now.

usually it is very easy in webapp / other appln, but where as here, i am not able to do.

So because, i could not able to automate the test cases for this functionality.

Is there any body especially automation expert has a solution for this kind of issue with QARUN.

Sounds like a challenge !! Huh?

    Re: Check Highlighted text

Did you try using GetProperty? Querying for the properties iSelectionStart and iSelectionEnd will give you character numbers that are selected. Using the sText property you can get the text of the field. Then all you have to do is parse out the characters that are highlighted.

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

When i use it , it says 'Cannot Perform action on the particular control'. Its because this property is not configured in AOR.

So let me know the procedure / steps to accomplish this.
