Is it possible to indicate explicitly which database RunAWL.exe should use ?
I test two diferent applications and, for not to mix scripts and map objects concerning the two applications, I created two different Access databases. I want to execute the two tests automatically, using the RunAWL command. The problem is that, when I execute the command RunAWL.exe with parameters as indicated in the User Guide, release 4.8 (e.g., C:\Compuware\QARun\Program\runawl.exe -user:'Global,User,Password' -runenv:'Default' "Script"), it always takes the database used previously and I know of no way (other than manually) to use another database for the second call of the RUNAWL.EXE command.
Is it possible to pass the database name as a parameter to RunAWL? Or maybe there exists a solution to my problem, different to fusionning the two databases into one?
In the registry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Compuware\QARun\Databas e DataSource
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Compuware\QARun\Databas e LinkedDataSource0
There is keys that have the value of your .qld file. You could probably create a .qld for each database. Then write code making calls to windows API that change the value of these keys when you want to switch database.
I've never tried this. If you do let me know if it works.
