Has anyone had to extract a MULTI_SZ data from the registry?
strings and integers aren't much of a problem, but without a multidimentional array or data structures I am at a loss of how to cleanly extract this data and read it. If I grab it as a string, I can read the first string from the string array, but then I can't get passed the first null terminator. :\
I hate being limited to primitives ... what happened to those wonderful character arrays in c...they were so efficient..
I don't build them in c++, I just suggested that because you mentioned c.
But I do build them in Delphi. If you have Delphi I can send you the source of one of my dlls that converts a .bmp to a .jpg.
If you need to do it in C++ it should be really easy. Just make API calls for the registry reading and put the value of your key in the struct/mulit-dim-array you create. Then just combine it's values into a string that is returned to QARun.
I've never built one in C++ because Delphi is much faster at building anything. But I'm sure building one in C++ isn't that hard.
Creating your own custom dll libraries will really enhance what you can do in QARun.
