Has anyone heard anything about Windows XP compatibility and QARun. When i asked the question to the help desk a while back i was told it was 'under-test' and an announcement would be posted on the web-site.
But so far nothing.
(Also has anyone had any practical experience running qarun on XP?)
I have be unsuccessful at using QADirector to run scripts on an XP machine. I get an error message and the script never runs.
You'd figure they would support XP the minute it came out, being a company that sells development tools. We had XP/Whistler a very long time before it came out. So all our software supports XP when it was released.
They are way behind the ball on this one. I've start to evaluate other test tools and I'm impressed with what other ones can do :-)

I've been using QARun and QADirector for the past two months on Windows XP. Its been working fine, the only difference I can imagine between normal Windows XP Systems is thst the file system is FAT32. We will soon be going to NTFS. (Should I be expecting a surprise)
On another front... can you speed up the the play speed of script either through QARun/QADirector

Have you looked at the command replay.delay (which can be set globally out of scripts as well) ?
QARun will works with XP, but is no supported.
Be shure, that following is correct:
Startmenu must have the Classic Windows Style. While learning stop learning with ALT+F10, otherwise qarun will learn the click on the Taskbar also.
I forgt: The complete Window style must looks like W2K. The windows are not the problem, but Icons and ather bitmaprelated could be a problem.
