How stable is Compuware's Testpartner? How much of the Market Share does this tool have? It seems as though no one really frequents this particular forum, is this a testament to it's popularity?
I am evaluating this tool(and others) but I am distressed by the lack of popularity of this tool. It makes me feel as though I am missing something vital concerning it.
I think it has lots of potential as a tool that can handle virtually any custom control written in VB or C++. This is my major concern at the moment as my AUT is virtually one big custom control.
Can anyone let me know about any personal experience with this tool. Should I be looking at QaRun instead?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance,
TestPartner was released less than two months ago. I believe that is what accounts for the lack of bulletin board activity regarding it.
Here's some additional information regarding the tool for those interested:
The short take is that TestPartner is an exciting tool that enables Developers and QA to leverage a single tool for both unit and QA Testing. Users can access the public properties and methods of any ActiveX or COM control. The tool also offers a VisualNavigator (as well as the VBA code window) for ease of use, a Data Test wizard that walks users through creating a data test AND variabilizes data simultaneously, can test both in and out of process COM objects, just to name a few things.

I'm evaluating it at the moment, and it seems to be very promising.
VBA is very powerfull, and i'm already thinking of using the Word Spellingchecker to check our applications.
Note there a new TestPartner forum now!
