Using QALoad to record a Java applet
We want to load test a web-enabled Java application with approximately 300 users. All the application functionality is encapsulated within a Java applet, the business objects being handled by EJB and the client server interactions are managed by Java RMI. We have pretty much determined that QALoad’s WWW session is unable to handle the java applet. None of the user activity gets recorded. The Compuware Tech Support person was not able to determine what traffic is being sent to the server. Based on the architecture documentation we are primarily using HTTP, HTTPS, and IIOB.
From the QALoad documentation, it seems that the Java middleware may be able to handle java applets with a lot of custom coding. HAs anyone used QALoad to load test such an application.
Has anybody used Winsock middleware to handle such application? How does it compare to WWW in terms of effort, custom coding etc.
What other options do we have?
I would appreciate any suggestions.
