I'm using QaLoad 5.2 version and till now from the past 2 years.
4 months back they added Ajax and QaLoad was handeling and working fine comparing to previous baseline result.
Now they have added more Ajax stuff and when running the Loadtest the results are almost doubled comparing to baseline.
In the Webserver Logs this particular item ScriptResource.axd was called 12 times on each page and development team is saying this performance (doubled) issue is because QaLoad is not handling ScriptResource.axd properly.
Did anbody went thru such situation, if so could you please give me some input?
Before you let the developers tell you that the tool is not handling the code properly, kindly ask them to prove that they are not calling something 12 times. It is easy to point the finger at the tool when they don't like the results. It is far harder for them to prove that the tool is the problem.
Capturing the traffic from a manual test via a proxy capture like Fiddler or Snark, etc., should quickly answer the question of whether or not the app. is calling something 12 times.
With 5.2, it should only be requesting resources that are in the HTML, or were captured at record time - depending on your convert and run-time options of course. But I'd sure try the proxy capture myself...
