I'm trying to parameterize the word 'bob' (in the sql statement below) with a variable I grabbed earlier in the script.
"SELECT DELV_LOC_ID FROM REQ WHERE REQ_ID = 'bob' AND REQ_IDB = '3567'");
I've tried a few methods, but I am unable to variablize 'bob'. I declared a variable earlier in my script, and I am able to use that value in other parts of the script, but as for trying to variablize bob in the SQL, I cannot do so.
Most likely this is actually a c/c++ string issue and getting the correct format (null terminated) for QALoad functions. How are you building the string? What error or issue are you seeing? Maybe post some code.
When passing a string into QALoad functions, I've found that it is best to initialized it to '0' (zero) like
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>char * sql_statement;
sql_statement = (char *)malloc(100);
memset(sql_statement, 0 , 99);</pre><hr />
before your strcpy.
