I'm sure this is a ridiculously easy question for someone to answer me but I simply don't know the answer. I have QALoad installed and I am trying to record a script but QALoad is not registering any traffic at all no matter what website I go to. I've tried changing the record ports but this still doesn't seem to help me.
What browser/version are you using to record? Assuming IE, are you using the automatic startup of IE in Record Options?
Again assuming IE, when you start recording, in the IE browser that comes up check the Internet Options, Connections tab, Lan Settings, Advanced btn - do you see HTTP with local host with the correct port? If secure website, there will also be a listing there.
Is the website HTTPS? If so, do you have an SSL license?
All of this should be automatic anyhow. You say it doesn't work for any website, to HTTPS probably isn't the problem.
I haven't run into this or seen posts about it. Probably some config or installation issue. If one of the Compuware support folks that browse this forum don't respond, you will probably have to call compuware support...
