Is there any way by which we can confirm that the script has been executed successfully. Like say i am running the script to add large amount of data in database,i have to actually keep on checking the database as to whether the data is adding or no. Can we confirm it in the script itself(some display message )?
i ran a script to add data in db, in one environment.
I made the required changes for another environment and ran the script. The script ran successfully giving message as "Validate successful",
however on checking the db i found that the data was not added in the second environment.
Any solution for it.
The only way to be absolutly sure would be to check the database. You can verify msgs returned by the application, but checking the db is the only real sure way.
Most likely there is a URL/parameterization issue in the second env. that is being missed, but the script either is not checking the returned error, or the application is not returning an error. QALoad convert ususally only checks page titles by default (and this is an option that may be turned off in your script).
The situation becomes even more complex in terms when i run a script to Search some data from the .The script runs and gives message as "Validate successful".however how can we be sure whether the data has been actually searched or no.
