First of all I am new to QA load and this forum and I searched all the post but did not find what I am looking for.
I am trying to record a script for a web application which uses https communication.(WWW session).
A) when I select enable visual navigation check box in convert option and record a scritp.it records fine (capture file created,in which I see list of ssl request and ssl reply) but when I try to convert it fails and give msgs like "http://myURLort/sessionID" can not be found please verify that it is corrct. and I am finally not able to convert it.
my question here is 1)why it says "http://......... not found" where as in my capture file all the requests are secure(https).
2) none of the request has a port number in capture file and also in my application. but error msg says "http://myURLort/sessionID" can not be found.
B) when I de-select " enable visual navigation" check box in convert option. I am able to record and convert it successfully.
My understanding is QA LOAD handles all the SSL handshaking. and I have not done any treatment for SSL recording described in QA LOAD user guide (exporting it from browser or creating one using QA LOAD).
I am using QA LOAD 5.1.0. I am planning to call tech support this evening but I thought let me put it here for some expert help
Thanks for reply. I am not sure I have the SSL License or not. But I am guessing "YES" because when I go to Tool--> maintain certificate tab, It is enabled and allows me to create client and server certificate.
I will add one more question here--> In maintain certificate tab my " client authority " and server authority " is expired. If I create a new one. what I need to do ? Can you please summerize the process , I went thourgh the QA Load document but still not very clear ?
How can we find out that I have SSL License? Dose application specify it somewhere??
If you open the License Administration Utility, it will list your licenses (also in Workbench menu Option, if you have SSL, the Convert options will have a tab named www/SSL-128. Otherwise this will just be named www.).
