instances are wherein the application business testaces are small and can proceed .vitree compliation and validation and then execution, but then what about test cases which some amount of coding, changing think/sleep time are these achieveable in .vitree functionality.
Here my question is which is the better option is it using the .vistree or the editable.cpp file?
If you can remain in the Visual Tree and accomplish all of your activities, then I would recommend that - C++ is a powerful scripting interface, but it can be easy to make coding mistakes that can ruin a test later.
Sometimes, however, advanced tasks may require you to enter the C++ code. A best practice from Compuware is to make as many changes to the visual tree as possible, and then complete the last set of changes to the C++ test script once everything else is done.
Additionally, you can change the sleep time in the visual tree - within each page is a node titled Sleep - select this and then you can edit the number (between 0 and 500 seconds). For longer pauses, or to gain millisecond accuracy, you will need to go to the C++ script.
