There is an tab in conductor for monitoring the servers for testrun, I would like to know what is the difference between the vantage view and the monitoring option available in conductor. I have not used vantage view(which can be installed in different machine just like sitescope i believe).
Re: difference between vantage view and cond-monitor
VantageView is the primary reporting and configuration interface for the Vantage suite of products, including ServerVantage, ApplicationVantage, ClientVantage, NetworkVantage, and others. VantageView is intended as a 24 x 7 monitoring interface for the Operations Teams responsible for maintaining a production environment.
QALoad's Conductor view contains some of the information that can be found in VantageView (notably server monitoring statistics), but not all - a lot of things that VantageView can monitor and report on is not relevant or useful during a performance test. Additionally, in the Conductor you will also have Virtual User information, such as checkpoint response times and transaction rate information, which is not present in VantageView. Finally, the update interval for the QALoad conductor defaults to once every 2 seconds, whereas VantageView defaults to five minutes.
So in terms of comparisons, VantageView provides a lot more information if you have multiple Compuware products installed - but all of the information that is relevant to a performance test is integrated with the QALoad Conductor. It becomes more a question of what information you are looking for, and the timing interval you want to see it in.
If you have both installed, simply open VantageView in Internet Explorer and compare what you see there with what is in the Conductor runtime. If you only have the Conductor, I don't know that doing a full installation of VantageView will get you much more than you already have.
