when i record an web application, i do some changes in the vistree and then when i need to add some requirements likes sleep time at different places, how can i do this without converting them into a editable script.
also after converting into editable script i need to save as a different .cpp file but not able to see the same reflections in vistree. this seems to be disadvantage. if there are other aleternatives in this regard please do let me know.
Personally, I don't like Vistree - and our application doesn't work with it (long story). Unfortunately, they are going to get rid of the non-vistree scripting functionality for www middleware in the next major relase
Doesn't each request have a sleep section in vistree already?
When you make an editable cpp file, it will never be reconverted back into vistree.
I'm sure this is unsuported, but what QALoad does is mark the vistree version of the cpp file read-only. if you undo that, edit it, then make it read-only again, you changes will show in vistree (presuming the changes are compatible with vistree). I haven't tested this much, but have gotten it to work for such as you mention.
The vistree functionality is very limiting, I haven't even been able to get the transaction looping to work if I move them, but have no problems with it in the c convert feature. Additionally, the c convert feature automatically parameterizes most of the requests instead of dealing with the vistree rules. The vistree rules could be powerful, but just seem more of a hassle.
