Can someone confirm that the RANDOM_STRING function isn't that random?
The first random_string variable, is the first random_string variable generated on each run of my script.
Anyone know of a workaround for this besides writing my own random_string function?
Thanks in advance!
I ran into this problem too...Not sure why it's done this way, because when you run a validate for the first time using random, you get a success. Even when you run it in conductor, same thing...it works. But every run after that and you progressively get more and more failures.
The solution in workbench is: There is no solution. you'll only be able to run it once in validation mode.
In Conductor under Tools --> Options, the "Player" tab, put a different number for the seed and the multiplyer in the "Random Number Seeds" frame EVERY TIME before you start conductor. This will force a new set of numbers to be created. Still not very random, but it's how the tool is designed.
Hope this helps,
