I have QALoad 4.8.3 and I think I don't have the Easyscript for Secure WWW installed. The Tools>Maintain Certificate menu is dimmed, and I can 't find were to installit in the QACenter Performance Edition CD. According to my dealer, I do have the licence to run it. How do I install it?
As far as I know, there is no "installation" of easyscript required. The tool comes with all the protocols supported - you simply need a license to unlock it. It would appear that you do not have the license correctly installed. I would take a look at the license manager and make sure that you are indeed licensed for the protocol.
If you have difficulty with that, I would recommend a call to tech support.
Reason why your "Maintain Certificate" menu option is dimmed is because you dont have the SSL addon installed. You can double check by navigating to Help>About QALoad Script Development Workbench.. If you have the license correctly installed you should see a "golden lock" witht the words "Includes EasyScript for Secure WWW 128-bit encryption" next to it.
If you purchased the EasyScript for Secure WWW module to test SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) or HTTPS calls that your browser/server may make, you will receive the appropriate encryption module on CD. To install the module, insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive, then double-click the file setup.exe in the win32 folder on the CD
You should have two CDs for installation - one for QALoad itself, and another for QALoad SSL.
As pointed out, 4.8.3 is almost three years out of date. If you are a customer in good standing, contact CPWR and get an electronic download of the latest software of ask your dealer, especially considering the wealth of new features in the 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 releases for the WWW environment. Additionally, Certificate support is substantially better in these more recent releases.
