Database volume testing using QALoad
How we can do database volume/ stress testing using QALoad. We want to find out the database limits i.e. how much volume my application database can support.
Any info/ suggestion is most welcome.
Re: Database volume testing using QALoad
Couple of different ways. If you simply want to see how much data your database can handle before it sinks, just capture a script that enters a record into the database and then start it running overnight. Sooner or later, you will get so slow that you can't reasonably add more records.
Second - if you want to know how fast or how many concurrent users can add data, use the same script but run it in iterations of 5 users, 10 users, 25 users, 50 users, etc, until you hit the limit or get an error.
Of course, you will probably have to modify the scripts to be data driven, so that you can change user IDs, etc.
