Performance Monitors on UNIX machines
I am attempting to set up performance monitors on UNIX boxes. QALoad has so many different options that I don't even know where to begin. I have successfully set perfmons up on Windows machines but never on a UNIX box. I already tried Windows Registry perfmon just in case, but to no avail.
Any ideas? The company I working with has the Vantage suite as well, if anyone knows how to take advantage of that.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Re: Performance Monitors on UNIX machines
With UNIX you'd need to set up Server Vantage on the box and then create the counters for the metrics you wish to gather.
Then within the Conductor you can specify Server Vantage as the performance monitor and point it to the appropriate agents.
You won't be able to see the metrics in real-time as the test is running but the metrics will be collated once the test has finished and availabile with Analyze.
