Reg diff b/w HTML and Http
we are using QA Load 5.6 version WWW middleware.
my question is generic one as well as basic one. please dont mind if it is silly question.
What is the difference between the scripts recorded in Http mode and HTML mode. I could find only the difference from QA Load help is the scripts recorded in HTML mode take more processor and more memory.. but what exactly it will work and what is the advantage of those modes other than i mentioned.
Re: Reg diff b/w HTML and Http
I think the main difference is the one you listed: HTTP mode normally uses less memory and/or processor. QALoad defaults to HTML mode and this is what you should use if you have enough RAM and powerful enough processor on your player machines.
If your player machines are not robust enough, try reconverting the original capture (.cap) files using HTTP mode instead. You will likely have more variablization to do (possibly much more), but it should allow you to run more virtual users on you players machines.
Also, if memory serves me correctly, I once successfully converted and played a script converted in HTTP mode that would not play when it was converted in HTML mode. So, HTTP mode may serve as a work-around it HTML mode is giving errors on compiling or validation.
