Test Case Schedule in QADirector
Now I want to set up the following case schedule:
the normal sequence is case 1, case 2, case 3 and case 4. If case 1 fails, then directly execute the case 3(skip case 2).
case 4 can be executed only if case 1 fails. and I also want to do some recoever opeerations after case 1 fails.
How to support this scenario?
Re: Test Case Schedule in QADirector
Are you using QARun in conjunction with theses cases? If so, I would perform the logic in the testing tool, not the test management tool.
Create a data/INI file with Case 1, 2, 3 and 4 entries. At the beginning of each script have it check the data file. At the end of each script have it write to this data file.
You can put in the logic
if "Case = 2" and "Case 1 Result = Pass"
if "Case = 4" and "Case 1 Result = Fail"
Too me, there are thing done with the actual testing tool, not the test management tool, but that is just my opinion.
