Does anyone have any experience with the ActiveAnalysis portion of QADirector? We've just started using some of the Numega tools, mainly Truecoverage and Boundschecker, and we wanted to integrate this with QADirector and were wondering if anyone had any tips for doing so. If anyone has any examples of how they are using this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Yea.... There not to much involved with using the ActiveAnalysis. The first thing is that the applcation build you are using was compiled under the appropriate NuMega tool. (Code Coverage for example)
Also as important... make sure you install the run-time versions of the NuMega products. This is a step in the QADirector install.
Update your automated script to start the application via the command line (Exec in QARun) For bounds checker there is an additional paramater needed in the path. The ActiveAnalysis section in the QADirector help covers this pretty well.
Add in the appropriate run time version on the AA tab before starting your test and Submit.
You should see a seperate app in your taskbar representing the run-time version of the NuMega tool.
Your results should contain another column with the "Highlevel" Numega findings (66% of Code Covered and 46% of Functions called is an example of code coverage) The other benifit is that a NuMega Session file is created, and a developer can open this with his full version, and view the detailed info (the exact lines covered, for example)
Hope this helps,
