Hi, I have been trying to find out a solution for my problem since long time, but i didn't get any relevant solution.
Here is my problem domain.
I have a build file, which is deployed in a remote machine.
I am using Hudson/Maven for creation/deployment of the build.
I have a Test Partner, which is there on another remote machine.
I have a QADirector, which is there in another remote machine.
All these are on different machines.
How to notify the QAD/Test Partner as soon as the build gets deployed on the server machine? Which one to be notified(either QAD or Test Partner) and how..?
can any one pls suggest a good solution...?
Is there any way to notify the QDA as soon as the build is deployed in the server machine. If there is a way, which should get notified(either Test Partner or QADirector)?
I want the QAD to get notified as soon as the build deployment is done.
Re: How to call QAD/TestPartner from Hudson/Maven..?
There is no way that I am aware of to automatically start QAD and then execute automated scripts. Test Partner can be started from the command line. In the Test Partner look for - Playing Back a Visual Test or Test Script From the Command Line - . This will explain how to run a TP script from a batch file. What we did was to create a file on the test box when the build process is finished. Create a batch file that checks for the aboved file and if it exists; delete the file; execute the Test Partner script; if the file is not found, do nothing. You can set windows scheduler job to execute the batch file every time period (every 30 mins, 1 hrs, etc.). Then when the build job runs and creates the file, the next time the batch file runs, the Test Partner script will be run.
