We are finally moving forward with our upgrade from v5.2 of QACenter to v6.0 and I have a few questions.
1. For the upgrade, do I need to go to v5.3 first, then to v6.0?
2. New terminology - This is a little confusing, in 5.3 there is the CARS Portal and CARS Workbench. Which is which? is the CARS Portal the same as the old QACenter portal? All we used was the COS, QACenter Portal and Integration Server. What are their equivalents in the new CARS terminology?
3. The upgrade process seems a little more involved this time. We are using an Oracle Database and I'm not really sure on what options to select for the upgrade. Any suggestions?
This is a big jump from 5.2/3 to 6.0. CARS Portal no longer exists and is replaced with a QAD thin client. There is also a change in terminology; suites are now execution plans and classes are now execution groups. The QAD 6.0 help files do cover this quite well though.

I noticed that. Thank you for the reply! Now, am I incorrect in the understanding that there really is not application upgrade, more of an uninstall the previous version and then install the new one (v6.0) and then let it run the update on the database and you are done?
