    Re: OLEMSFlexGrid select method

Actually a custom grid control. Check vbclass.inc for more details. Notice there isn't a select method. You can navigate by choosing which row to be on. But I need a select method to move to a particular row once I've found what I'm looking for in the control's contents. Seems segue support are as puzzled as I am. Pity segue developers don't actually use their products to test.

    Re: OLEMSFlexGrid select method

    FYI

OLEMSFlexGrid has a property iRow that can be set
    e.g. aFlexGrid.iRow = 400

This will select the row but not scroll it into view. Trying to determine if I can use SendMessage to accomplish task.

    Re: OLEMSFlexGrid select method

One way I have accomplished this type of task in the past is to use keystrokes to control grid movement. For example, if you go into a grid and you can determine what row you are on by getting the iRow property, then you can use TypeKeys() to press the down arrow until you are at the desired row. It may not be the best solution, but it does work.

    Re: OLEMSFlexGrid select method

The OLEMSFlexGrid is a well defined object in SilkTest with a lot of good methods to manipulate it.
Open the SilkTest include file at:
    C:\Program Files\Segue\SilkTest\vbclass.inc
    and search for "OLEMSFlexGrid".
The most important methods are GetTextMatrix( row, col ) and SetTextMatrix( row, col ).
Unfortunately there is NOTHING in SilkTest manuals or help on these methods, so you will need to experiment with them a little to get them to work.
I have used them a lot and they are stable and reliable.
    Good luck!
