Unable to select menu with keystokes
We are testing a java application where silktest is not identifying any objects except the window name.
To do all configuration setting through silktest we are using keystrokes like "<#Down 5>","<Tab 5>" and so on.
But always the keystokes doesnot behave the same way due to which testcases are failing.
Also we are sometimes getting error like "Error: Use menuid (e.g. #1 for 1st menuitem) instead of menutext for ownerdraw menu." Can anybody can answer this query or give any kind of suggestion ASAP.
Re: Unable to select menu with keystokes
What version of Silktest are you using? Make sure you have the right version of JDK refered in SilkTest.
Use SilkTest Help on testing Java applications which gives the setup information required to start testing Java apps.
From your description, looks like Silktest does not have the correct JDK version to recognize the application objects as Java controls
